Almond croissant
Hand-laminated, baked through the morning. The reason regulars walk in at 7 AM.
An all-day café, kitchen and bar — six steps from the Fewa shore. European bakery, Italian classics, Nepali favourites — and a window seat with the lake in it.
Why people come
On most days the lake is doing the work. We have wooden tables wide enough that nobody is in anyone's elbow. A short kitchen sending out almond croissants in the morning and tiramisu at night. Coffee that wakes you up properly, jhol momos that send you back to your guesthouse warm.
Reviewers single out the large windows overlooking the lake, the comfortable spacing between tables, and a kitchen that takes its almond croissants seriously. The view does the rest.
6 AM → 11 PM · every day
We open with the boats and pour until eleven. Five moments worth coming for — and the dish that goes with each.
The kitchen opens before the boats. Order at the window seat, watch the mountains pull free of the mist, take your time.
Our most-photographed plate. Slow-cooked pork, two soft poached eggs, hollandaise on toasted bread — guests keep telling us it's the best version they've eaten anywhere.
A Nepali standard, done the way the regulars want it: thin-skinned dumplings, a bowl of warm tomato-and-sesame jhol, and a window with the lake in it.
The light goes amber, the willows go still, dinner service starts. Wood-fired margheritas, a small Italian list, and the buff burger that ate the chowmein's lunch.
String lights on, lanterns lit, someone playing softly inside. We pour until eleven. The tiramisu is the right way to finish.
The room
Open ceilings, hanging plants, lanterns on the railings, the lake reflecting the lights of the strip across the water.
Voices from the lake
"From the extremely friendly staff to the seating, and the food — everything was spot on. We ordered the margarita pizza, the jhol momos, buff burger and the chowmein and couldn't stop chowing down.
"Best momos in fragrant sauce, delicious chocolate tart, almond croissant along with a nice view in front of the lake. Service is also really good.
"They have the best croissant — I haven't tasted one this good before. The tiramisu is also lovely. With a beautiful view of Fewa Lake, it's the perfect place to enjoy delicious food and relax.
"Pleasant ground floor seating by the wall with large windows overlooking the lake is also worth. The view adds a lot to the dining experience.
